Last month, Conducta dropped off “Get Busy With It”, a springy club cut inspired by “the fluidity of movement and exploration” and iced with some motivational words from Novelist. The Bristol native has since announced that his debut EP, In Transit, will be out on June 28, and now we have another taste of it in the form of new single “3FALL”.

While “Get Busy With It” had a definite summer-ready buoyancy to it, “3FALL” is a little darker, leaning into a more late-night sound with some much more pronounced grime elements. And for an unexpected finish, he’s added a wistful, Auto-Tuned vocal sample as a bonus. Continuing the theme of travel and movement, “3FALL” also comes with a visualiser, not unlike the one Bami Issam crafted for “Get Busy With It”.

Although the project’s title and the pair of visualisers seem to be illustrating the blur of tour life, the accompanying press release explains the theme of transition is actually a little deeper. Since first sketching out plans for the project in 2021, Conducta’s battled with depression, burnout, and even entered rehab. Trying as those times were, the EP and the tracks contained within are the first steps to a more positive new era for the producer, and one that’s hopefully long-lasting.

Taking to Instagram to explain in his own words, he writes: “It’s entitled In Transit and is all tunes inspired by my last couples years touring across the world and finally finding my feet again, and exploring new sounds—most of these were started then finished in airport terminals. I had so much fun making these tunes and super excited for you to hear them all! Also looking forward to bringing you in on the stories and the process behind the whole concept.”

Hit play on the visualiser up top and be sure to add “3FALL” to your playlists.
